The Role 


We're seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our growing accounting operations with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. You'll play a crucial role in our financial processes, working closely with our accounting team to ensure smooth invoice processing and vendor management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while developing your accounting skills in a supportive environment. 
This role is about precision and reliability. We're looking for someone who values accuracy, organization, and collaborative teamwork while supporting the financial operations that enable our mission. 

What You'll Do 


Invoice Management and Data Entry: 
  • Manage the accounting email account and organize electronic invoices. 
  • Download, save, and properly code invoices for input into Xero accounting platform. 
  • Perform accurate data entry and double-check all invoices for accuracy. 
  • Organize and backup supplier invoices and employee expense reports in OneDrive. 
  • Support month-end processes by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. 

Accounts Payable Processing: 
  • Process invoices from vendors and contractors through to final payables lists for payment processing. 
  • Assist with vendor management and supplier invoice organization. 
  • Support reconciliation processes for bank accounts and credit card transactions. 
  • Help locate and organize invoices for payments that have been processed. 
  • Maintain organized filing systems for all accounting documentation. 

Administrative Support: 
  • Provide backup support for data entry during high-volume periods. 
  • Assist with general accounting administrative tasks as needed. 
  • Support the implementation of new processes as OneFeather grows. 
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications 


Required experience: 
  • 1-2 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience 
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Xero experience preferred) 
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to accuracy 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based filing file systems 
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles 

Preferred experience: 
  • Experience in a growing business environment 
  • Familiarity with electronic invoice processing 
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
