Description

VP of Revenue & Growth

Job Title: VP of Revenue & Growth
Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-time
Reports to: Chief Innovation Officer

Help Build a Digital Future for Indigenous Peoples

At OneFeather, we build digital tools that support the rights and needs of Indigenous communities. Since 2014, we've helped First Nations and Métis communities run elections. In 2021, we launched a successful Status Card Renewal platform. Today, we're also working on identity and payment solutions—always in ways that respect Indigenous values and traditions.
We're committed to community impact, long-term partnerships, and creating value that lasts for generations.

The Role

We're hiring a VP of Revenue & Growth to drive revenue strategy and execution while building sustainable growth channels that serve Indigenous communities across Canada. This person will wake up every day thinking about revenue - both hitting immediate targets and identifying new revenue opportunities that align with Indigenous community needs.

Immediate Priority: December 2025 MVP Launch Success
Your first 90 days will focus on ensuring revenue generation from our December 2025 MVP launch, including pricing validation with our first 1,000 users, conversion optimization, and proposing rapid iterations based on payment data and user behavior.
You'll be responsible for optimizing our transaction-based revenue from card network partnerships and government payment processing, while identifying and launching new revenue streams. Working closely with our Chief Innovation Officer, Indigenous Experience Lead, and Product teams, you'll translate community insights and product data into scalable revenue strategies.
This role combines strategic revenue leadership with hands-on execution. You'll be the sole revenue leader in our early-stage fintech environment, requiring comfort with ambiguity, rapid pivots, and the willingness to execute tactical work alongside high-level strategy.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We're seeking a candidate with strong revenue leadership experience, proven ability to launch payment/fintech products from $0 to target MRR, and cultural competency for working respectfully with Indigenous communities.
Assets:
  • Indigenous heritage and/or extensive experience working respectfully with Indigenous communities
  • Understanding of Indigenous governance structures, decision-making processes, and community protocols
  • Knowledge of unique financial challenges facing Indigenous people (on/off reserve banking, trust relationships)
  • Relationships within Indigenous business networks or economic development organizations

What You'll Do

Drive Launch Accountability and Revenue Performance

  • Own immediate revenue metrics across all revenue streams, with special focus on December 2025 MVP success
  • Execute pricing validation strategies with first 1,000 users and rapidly iterate based on data
  • Use real-time analytics and transaction data to make rapid revenue optimization decisions
  • Build systems for revenue tracking, forecasting, and performance optimization
  • Hit both short-term targets and long-term growth objectives through data-driven strategies

Execute Sales and Conversion Strategy

  • Own conversion funnel optimization from awareness to paid user activation
  • Develop and execute direct user acquisition strategies for paid features
  • Lead pricing experiments and A/B testing to maximize revenue per user
  • Coach customer-facing teams on conversion best practices and revenue-focused messaging
  • Implement rapid iteration cycles based on payment data and user feedback

Lead Strategic Partnerships and Business Development

  • Manage and optimize relationships with major card networks, government agencies, and payment infrastructure providers
  • Negotiate contract renewals, SLAs, and expanded service offerings
  • Identify opportunities for additional government payment contracts and new fintech partnerships
  • Translate community insights from Indigenous Experience Lead into partnership opportunities

Innovate Revenue Channels and Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Product teams to identify revenue opportunities within existing features
  • Collaborate with Indigenous Experience Lead to ensure revenue strategies respect community values
  • Work with Chief Accountability Officer to balance growth objectives with community commitments
  • Systematically identify and evaluate adjacent revenue streams that leverage existing infrastructure

Qualifications

  • 8+ years progressive revenue leadership experience, with 3+ years in fintech, payments, or financial services

  • Demonstrated ability to execute with incomplete information and comfort with rapid pivots
  • Comfort being the sole revenue leader in an early-stage fintech environment
  • Experience managing enterprise partnerships with major financial services providers
  • Understanding of Canadian payment systems and regulatory environment
  • Strong financial modeling, ROI analysis, and business case development skills
Preferred experience:
  • Previous experience with financial services partnerships or payment processing
  • Government contracting, benefits administration, or public sector experience
